I think the extent to which I have any balance at all, any mental balance, is because of being a farm kid and being raised in those isolated rural areas.

Mike's great grandparents 6 foot ram's head footed tub. It dates to the 1880's and was the first indoor tub in the Lohn Valley
(note of interest: Lohn is a small farming community in Central Texas and Mike's great - great grandmother was a Lohn)

Vintage Trunk

This trunk has been in our family for as long as I can remember. It is used as a end table/lamp table next to our love seat. I also use it to store wool blankets.

Day 92 of 365

Between the quilt ladder and the computer cabinet is the cased opening that leads to the bathroom and two bedrooms. Notice the recessed shelving above the opening. This is a support wall and is constructed with 2" X 6" lumber.

This is also a great photo that shows the lumber that we used for the walls in the great room. It is 1" X 8" lap boards that came from the Griffice House.
